A cold front should settle over the northern islands through
Thursday with increasing rainfall chances likely across much of
Hawaii, and the best chance for any type of enhanced rainfall near
or along the front. Easterly and breezy trade winds should return
by late this week while the front gets dragged westward and
weakens as the upper system lifts to the north and east. A more
typical trade wind pattern should prevail after this weekend with
showers mainly confined to windward regions. The guidance as a
whole shows good agreement on the overall setup for the next week,
with some remaining uncertainty in the details, therefore a
consensus solution is preferred.
