Potent shortwave trough passage will yield a few days of drier
conditions for the islands and some uptick in trades. A favored
composite of well clustered guidance suggests that strong
mid-latitude upper trough amplification to the north of the state
will then drive a later week moisture and shower focusing front
into the state from the north. Building post-frontal high pressure
may reinforce trades in a pattern with a windward/mountain
lingering shower focus this weekend into next week.
