A cold front will stall just off Kauai today before lifting back
northward and dissipating. Precipitable water values that briefly
rose to over 1.5" are expected to decrease to near to below normal
which supports generally light windward showers. As an upper high
builds to the northwest of the region, weaknesses aloft will slip
in from the east as a surface high tracks eastward to the north of
the region, increasing trades this weekend. A mostly dry pattern
is still expected with no organized areas of heavy rainfall. By
next week, another front may sink southeastward from the Dateline
but well northwest of the area.
