Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 303 AM EDT Fri Apr 23 2021 Valid 00Z Sat Apr 24 2021 - 00Z Sat May 01 2021 A weak upper low drifting southward over the islands this weekend may bring a brief disruption to trades and possibly increase windward showers for mainly the Big Island. Otherwise, high pressure building north of Hawaii will maintain moderate to breezy trade winds through much of the next week along with mostly dry weather. The guidance indicates a front will sink southeastward from the Dateline around midweek, but should stay north of the state or maybe over the far northern islands. If the front reaches Hawaii at all, expect some increase in showers along and ahead of the front by later next week. Santorelli
