Trades should relax and veer to the Southeast today ahead of an
approaching cold front as a potent upper trough digs toward the
islands from the north. Models and ensembles reasonably agree that
this moisture pooling front will slowly weaken over the islands
mid to late week while focusing modest shower activity.
Post-system high pressure then bridging to the north of the state
should support a return of moderate to breezy trades heading into
the weekend that may be disrupted again early next week with
another digging upper trough to the north and lead frontal
approach.
