Light to moderate trades will promote only scattered
windward/mauka showers in a rather dry and stable pattern. An
upper low will pass by well to the northeast of the area but keep
any deeper moisture away from the region. By later in the week,
heights will build toward the area first from the southeast then
the west, eventually overtaking the area with >588dm heights. A
cold front well to the northwest of Hawai'i will move within about
200 miles to the northwest of Kauai by next Tue-Wed as the rather
dry pattern continues. With Galvez-Davison Index values near to
below zero, rainfall will be fairly light area-wide into next
week. A model/ensemble blend should suffice given good synoptic
agreement.
