Model guidance continues to show excellent agreement for a gradual
increase of the trade winds through this week and into the July
4th weekend.  A front/shearline initially stalled over the
Papahanaumokuakea National Marine Monument will disintegrate
during the next couple of days before a subtropical ridge to the
northeast of Hawaii strengthens and expands westward while surface
pressure decreases across the equatorial central Pacific.  These
changes will progressively increase the trade winds to moderate
levels across Hawaii and renew a pattern with windward
terrain/mountain focusing showers through next weekend.
