A strong subtropical ridge north-northwest of the Islands
strengthens and expands as it shifts further westward through
Tuesday before stalling and slowly weakening. Then the next ridge
shifts west from California. Moderate strength trade winds today
ease a bit tonight and persist at lower levels through the week
ahead. This somewhat moist trade flow maintains wide scattered
windward terrain/mountain focusing showers through the weekend.
