High pressure centered at the mid-latitudes dominates the north
central Pacific through next week.
Trade winds remain moderate to brisk through next week. The trade
flow maintains widely scattered windward terrain/mountain focused
showers through next week. Local enhancements may occur with each
low amplitude tropical wave that passes through next week. The
persistent low-mid anticyclone north of the islands keeps the deep
moisture plume (higher precipitable water values) south of the
islands through next week, with dry air advection around the high
preventing greater coverage of showers.
