High pressure centered at the mid-latitudes dominates the north
central Pacific through next weekend.
Trade winds remain moderate to brisk through this week. The trade
flow maintains widely scattered windward terrain/mountain focused
showers each day this week. Local enhancements may occur with each
low amplitude tropical wave that passes through the islands. The
persistent low-mid anticyclone north of the islands keeps
advecting drier air around its periphery, which makes it difficult
for the deep moisture plume (higher precipitable water values) to
remains over the islands through early next week.
