Models and ensembles overall show a periodically wet period over
the next week with multiple areas of enhanced moisture potentially
contributing to increased rainfall slated to spread statewide
under a developing and lingering upper weakness/trough as fueled
by any lingering weekend remnant tropical moisture from Felicia
and by early next week, Guillermo. By Thursday, guidance still
varies for another area of moisture that could reach the state
associated with a disturbance being monitored by the National
Hurricane Center over the tropical Pacific near 125W. High
pressure bridging to the north of the state suggests moderate to
brisk mean trades over the next week may focus rainfall over
windward terrain. Overall, a model and ensemble composite seems
reasonable for these systems in a pattern with lowered
predictability.
