A preferred guidance composite indicates that high pressure
building to the northeast of the state will support moderate to
brisk island trades in a pattern favoring windward terrain
rainfall. Remnant tropical moisture from a weakened disturbance
slated to skirt to the south of the state may also fuel a bit more
widespread showers today into Friday with an upper trough
over/west of the state. Expect relatively drier air and upper
ridge development over the islands in the wake of this system this
weekend into next week.
