Upper ridging will build/strengthen over the region Sunday and
continue westward next week, promoting dry conditions with only
lighter windward/mauka showers for the next few days. Trades will
remain breezy as the surface high to the northeast dips toward 33N
around midweek. Heights will lower a bit from the ESE later next
week as a weak trough pushes through, which may allow for a few
more showers. But, with mid-level moisture remaining rather low,
most of the area will remain drier than normal. T.D. Nine-E may
try to race westward along 15N south of the area by next weekend
(ECMWF/Canadian) but its path and strength is uncertain (could get
wrapped into Hilda to its northeast or dissipate into the ITCZ or
something else).
