The upper level low currently situated north of Hawaii is expected
to track gradually westward near 30 degrees north through the end
of the week and slowly weaken.  Hurricane Linda in the eastern
Pacific will likely be the main weather story through the weekend
into early next week.  Linda is forecast to track west-northwest
and gradually weaken over cooler waters as it approaches to the
northeast of the Big Islands on Sunday.  Some of the latest model
projections take Linda very close to the western portions of the
island chain by Monday albeit in a much weaker form.
