A preferred composite of reasonably well clustered model and
ensemble guidance indicates that moisture will be on the decrease
after today with the slow exit of an upper trough now located just
to the west of the state. Trades should return to moderate to
brisk levels for the rest of this week as high pressure builds and
bridges to the north and northeast of the state in a pattern
favoring windward terrain showers. Pesky new upper trough
settlement over the state this weekend is expected to linger at
least into next midweek and act to ease veering trades and
increasingly act to build moisture/lift for local downpours.
