Near to below normal mid-level heights are favored over the 50th
state, downstream of a strong upper high near the Dateline. Modest
trades will support generally light to perhaps moderate windward
and mauka showers through the period, as precipitable water values
oscillate near 1.25 inches into the weekend. By next week, a bit
more moisture could work into the area from the northeast,
promoting more showers for the area. Model consensus seems
reasonable for the next seven days as deeper moisture stays south
of 15N along the active ITCZ.
