Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 340 AM EDT Sun Oct 24 2021 Valid 00Z Mon Oct 25 2021 - 00Z Mon Nov 01 2021 Locally breezy trade winds will continue into early next week along with a drier pattern becoming established over Hawaii within a more stable upper pattern. Any showers are likely to be confined to windward facing terrain areas as high pressure builds to the north of the islands and trade winds weaken the remainder of the next week. The guidance continues to suggest that upstream upper ridge amplification over the west-central Pacific may allow a rounding upper trough to dig southeastward towards Hawaii around Wednesday, which could bring a brief disruption to trades later this week. The cold front should weaken and die out north of the islands though, so limited to no moisture/QPF impacts are expected. Santorelli
