Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 357 AM EDT Fri Oct 29 2021 Valid 00Z Sat Oct 30 2021 - 00Z Sat Nov 06 2021 A relatively dry and stable pattern is forecast over Hawaii through the upcoming week. Model guidance agrees that light winds are expected aloft over Hawaii, while a couple of upper-level troughs and surface low pressure systems traverse eastward well to the north of the state through early next week. This pattern will disturb typical easterly trade winds with winds more light and variable, occasionally with a northerly component, and generally dominated by daytime sea breezes and nighttime land breezes. Moisture levels should remain at or somewhat below normal, and fronts are expected to stall and dissipate north of the islands, so any rain showers will be focused over interior areas where sea breezes set up. More typical easterly trades are expected for the latter half of next week as surface high pressure builds in north of the state, leading to windward-facing terrain showers. Tate
