High pressure is reestablishing itself to the north of Hawaii,
leading to a return to more typical easterly trade winds for the
state. These moderate to locally breezy trades are forecast to
last for the next week or so, bringing isolated rain showers to
windward and mountain areas. Meanwhile, a dissipating front
passing through the northern/western islands should enhance
moisture there over the next couple of days. This could increase
shower activity particularly over Kauai/Oahu through Thursday,
possibly Friday. Then, a drier pattern is expected across the
state with normal to below normal levels of moisture, but some
windward and mountain showers cannot be ruled out given the trade
winds.
