...A Wet Weather Pattern Next Week...

Guidance reasonably agrees that island trades will ease through
midweek as the supporting surface high settles over the eastern
Pacific. Lingering upper ridging over the state will erode in
response to approaching upper trough energy to the northwest of
the state. The flow should amplify later week as reinforced by a
series of impulses set to dig a dynamic upper trough to the lee of
an amplified upstream ridge over mid-latitudes of the west-central
Pacific. This will also drive a well defined cold front
southeastward to the islands this weekend/early next week and lead
wind flow shift in response to bring deeper shower fueling
tropical moisture back up into the state in an increasingly wet
pattern.
