Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 1128 PM EST Tue Nov 09 2021 Valid 00Z Thu Nov 11 2021 - 00Z Thu Nov 18 2021 ...A Wet Weather Pattern Early Next Week... Guidance reasonably agrees that island trades only briefly reassert themselves Thursday and Friday before troughing strengthens over and near the archipelago, reaching peak amplification Saturday into Sunday which brings a front into the main islands, some remnant moisture from the remains of Sandra, and possibly another disturbance that forms south to southwest of Hawai'i into the area, bringing precipitable water values of 2-2.25" within a strengthening southeast to south low-level flow regime. This should lure deeper tropical moisture into the state within what is expected to be an increasingly wet pattern from Sunday into next Tuesday, with Monday/Tuesday appearing the be the wettest days in and near the Island of Hawai'i/the eastern main islands. The 27 km versions of the 18z-00z GFS/12z ECMWF paint 2-4" of rain in that area, which would be heavier at elevation. Roth
