Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 239 AM EST Sat Nov 20 2021 Valid 00Z Sun Nov 21 2021 - 00Z Sun Nov 28 2021 A more typical trade wind pattern should return and last through most of next week as high pressure prevails to the north of the state. This would support some occasional and light windward/mountains focus for showers, but otherwise keep much of Hawaii within a dry pattern over the next week. Guidance still shows a front approaching but not quite reaching the northwestern islands this weekend which could briefly weaken the trades, but trailing high pressure that ultimately settles into the East Pacific should promote stronger trades from Monday onward. Overall, the guidance and ensembles show very good agreement on the large scale pattern through the next week, with some lingering uncertainties in the details and timing of systems well to the north of Hawaii, especially during the middle to latter part of next week.
