A weakening boundary sagging southward over the state today is set
to pool moisture and instability to fuel some increase in
showers/downpours. The upper ridge over the state erodes through
mid-later week as uncertain weaknesses settle aloft. However,
models and ensembles reasonably agree that deeper shower fueling
moisture may be drawn into the islands by the weekend and into
early next week as trades back to the southeast in response to
ample upper troughing set to dig just to the northwest/west of the
islands. A favored guidance composite indicates that these
developments may portend a wet period for early next week.
