The Hawaii domain will be in a col within the surface subtropical
ridge with the main surface high displaced well to the
east-northeast to begin the work week.  The ensemble means depict
the high briefly building in north of the state on Thursday before
a cold front slowly approaches from the northwest by Friday, with
the boundary likely staying just north of the Islands. 

In terms of rainfall potential, expect scattered to numerous
showers and thundershowers through Tuesday, and then mainly
terrain/sea breeze enhanced showers through the rest of the week
and then mainly dry into the weekend.  Trade winds are expected to
be lighter than usual owing to a weaker overall pressure gradient
for most of the week.
