Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 159 AM EST Mon Jan 17 2022 Valid 00Z Tue Jan 18 2022 - 00Z Tue Jan 25 2022 It remains the case that a favored composite of reasonably well clustered models and ensembles indicates that a series of highly energetic Pacific storms over the next week should hold within a storm track to the north of the islands. Hawaiian weather should remain generally benign in a surface pattern mainly favoring land and sea breezes this week with limited shower potential. However, a front set to stall just to the north of the state into midweek may bring some showers into the northern islands. A front by the weekend now seems more likely to sag showers across the state in a pattern with flow connection to a slow moving closed low to the east of the state. Schichtel
