Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 226 AM EST Tue Jan 18 2022 Valid 00Z Wed Jan 19 2022 - 00Z Wed Jan 26 2022 A favored composite of reasonably well clustered models and ensembles indicates that a series of highly energetic Pacific storms over the next week should hold within a storm track to the north of the islands. Hawaiian weather should remain generally benign in a surface pattern mainly favoring land and sea breezes this week with limited shower potential. However, a front set to stall just to the north of the state into midweek may bring some showers into the northern islands. A front by the weekend now seems more likely to sag showers across the state in a pattern with flow connection with a slow moving closed low set to the east of the state that holds through early next week.
