Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 259 AM EST Tue Feb 01 2022 Valid 00Z Wed Feb 02 2022 - 00Z Wed Feb 09 2022 A series of cold fronts approaching and stalling north of Hawaii will keep trade winds light to moderate and variable through the rest of the work week. The guidance continues to show below average precipitable water values over the state, which should keep much of the region fairly dry except for some light showers favoring the typical windward facing slopes and coasts. A more typical, breezy, and showery trade wind pattern looks to return by next weekend though as surface high pressure tries to build back in to the north and east of the islands and moisture increases across the state.
