Hawaii will be near the southwestern edge of a large mid-latitude
surface high that will be anchored over the eastern Pacific
through the end of the week.  Multiple storm systems passing
across the North Pacific will result in cold fronts getting close
to the western Islands, and this will tend to create a col within
the subtropical ridge axis over the western-most Islands. 

In terms of sensible weather, expect generally east-northeast
trades on the order of 15-25 mph through about Thursday, except
more of a southeasterly component from Honolulu and points
northwestward where there will be more inflow towards the stalling
fronts.  The pressure gradient relaxes some by the end of the week
and winds become a bit lighter overall.  Other than the normal
trade wind induced showers, no big areas of organized rainfall
appear likely over the next week.
