A favored composite of reasonably well clustered model and
ensemble guidance shows another in a series of compact/closed
upper lows passing to the north of the state today into Tuesday.
Underneath, modest moisture will spread back over the state in
advance of a trailing/weakening front to work toward the northern
islands. Upper ridging builds over the state mid-later week
through the weekend in a transition to a drier/limited windward
terrain focusing shower pattern with returning trades as high
pressure builds well northeast of Hawaii. There is some signal for
the upper ridge and trades to weaken in about a week with new
system approach.
