Upper level ridging and surface high pressure in place over the
region will keep the overall pattern fairly stable and relatively
dry across Hawaii through at least the middle of next week.
Moderate to breezy trade winds can be expected, particularly by
the middle of next week. Toward the end of next week, model
guidance suggests the upper ridge begins to weaken some with the
approach of weak shortwave trough energy. The associated front may
slip closer to the region, but details on how far south it
progresses have low confidence. The drier than normal conditions
expected will unfortunately continue to worsen the ongoing drought
conditions
