Models and ensembles reasonably agree that upper level ridging
will keep the overall pattern fairly stable and relatively dry
across Hawaii into Tuesday in a pattern with limited windward
based showers in moderate to breezy trade flow. Trades may
temporarily ease into midweek as a front settles to the north of
the state, but flow is expected to return through the rest of next
week. In this period, deeper moisture working into the islands
from the southeast may locally fuel showers and guidance suggests
the upper ridge may weaken some with the approach of weak and
uncertain shortwave trough energy.
