Upper ridging is forecast to remain in place through about
mid-week before weak shortwave troughing passes just north of the
region. Breezy to moderate trades today will weaken some as the
front approaches but stays to the north. By late in the week, the
upper ridge breaks down and a weakness in the flow approaches from
the northwest. Precipitation chances through the week will be best
confined to the leeward slopes, particularly by mid week as a
diffuse area of moisture moves in from the southeast.
