A favored guidance composite shows that reasonably strong high
pressure system to the north of Hawaii will promote breezy
easterly trade winds into the weekend. This could be a wet pattern
with showers over windward and mountain areas as remnant moisture
lingers from a weakened front and with secondary approach over the
weekend. By Monday-Wednesday, weak upper troughing expected
develop over Hawaii may provide some instability for shower
activity. There is some guidance signal for deeper moisture to
feed into at least the southern islands late next week to fuel
increasing rainfall coverage, albeit with uncertainty at these
longer time frames.
