GIVEN THE 00Z CMC IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MODEL SPREAD AND GOES UNSUPPORTED...THE CMC APPEARS UNLIKELY. THE 00Z NAM IS ON THE OTHER EXTREME WITH A FLATTER/SLOWER WAVE. THE 00Z GFS AND 00Z ECMWF ARE CLOSEST TO THE MIDDLE WITH TWO SMALLER SCALE EMBEDDED VORTICITY MAXIMA POSSIBLE GIVEN THE LATEST AVAILABLE GUIDANCE. DEEP UPPER TROUGH REACHING THE WEST COAST BY WEDNESDAY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PREFERENCE: BLEND OF THE 00Z GFS/ECMWF CONFIDENCE: SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE THE MODELS SHOW SOME TIMING/AMPLITUDE DIFFERENCES ALONG THE WEST COAST ON WED BUT THE ECMWF/GFS HAVE BEEN TRENDING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. THE GFS/GEFS HAS BEEN TRENDING DEEPER WHILE THE ECMWF/ECENS HAVE BEEN TRENDING LESS AMPLIFIED. THE 12Z UKMET/CMC HAVE ADJUSTED FROM THEIR PREVIOUS RUNS AND NOW MAKE THE 00Z NAM APPEAR A BIT SLOW. WHILE SLOWER IS STILL POSSIBLE...IT SEEMS THE BETTER CLUSTERING OF GUIDANCE IS FOR TIMING A BIT FASTER THAN THE NAM...CLOSER TO THE GFS/ECMWF/UKMET/CMC.
