00Z GFS/NAM evaluation with preliminary model preferences

The guidance shows very good agreement at 500 hPa, 700 hPa, and in
the surface pressure pattern across the lower 48.  A compromise of
the 00z GFS, 00z NAM, 12z Canadian, 12z UKMET, and 12z ECMWF is
preferred with above average confidence.  For preferences within
areas which are expected to received heavy rainfall, consult WPC
excessive rainfall discussions.
