Ingesting PCGRIDDS

After the PCGRIDDS data is all resident in the c:/pcgridds/grib/final subdirectory, it must be pre- processed before you can run it. The first time you run PCGRIDDS and everytime you change the area which you want to run, you must go through menu selection 4 and 5 on the menu above. 4. Select Area for Gridded Data Set 5. As stated in the explanation of the WAFs data area, the Globe has been divided into 8 octets. You must select the octets which you have already downloaded and preprocessed. From the menu, you will eventually Enter both. You must do them one at a time. One of these fields are the analyses. The other is the forecast. First, Press 6 1- WAF (081) from HHUTC DDMMYY IT WILL THEN SAY PRESS ANY Key to continue Enter Any Key You now go back to the Ingest WAFS GRIB Data Menu again. Enter 6 6. Convert Grib Data to PCGRIDDS format You now go to the Enter MODEL RUN for Conversion to PCGRIDDS Format Menu. This time Enter 2 2- WAF (077) from HHUTCDDMMYY It Will then say Press any Key to continue Enter Any Key You now go back to the Ingest WAFS GRIB Data Menu. Enter 2 2. Delete GRIB Data You now go back to the Ingest WAFS GRIB Data Menu. Enter X X. Return to main menu You will return to the PCGRIDDS Application Menu. Enter 2 2. Run PCGRIDDS
