As on the previous example, this vertical cross section crosses the upper level cyclone. In this case we concentrate on the RH (green contours) and vertical motion. On the previously described area, between 19N 60W and 19N 64W, a tongue of moisture bulges upward just above 500 hPa, giving support to our forecast of deep convection. In the area of subsidence, the RH drops below 70% as it is to be expected.
