AT 1000 AM EDT...A TRIPLE POINT SURFACE LOW WITH A CENTRAL
PRESSURE OF 1003 MB...29.62 INCHES...WAS CENTERED NEAR NEW YORK,
NEW YORK. FROM THIS TRIPLE POINT...AN OCCLUDED FRONT EXTENDED TO
THE NORTH TO ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE AREA IN SOUTHEAST CANADA. A COLD
FRONT EXTENDED SOUTHWARD FROM THE FIRST LOW AND WAS LOCATED ALONG
THE SOUTHEAST COAST...MOVING SLOWLY EASTWARD...WHILE A WARM FRONT
EXTENDING FROM THE LOW WAS MOVING NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE WESTERN
ATLANTIC. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND SURFACE
OBSERVATIONS INDICATED SOME MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WAS FALLING IN
EASTERN NEW ENGLAND TO THE NORTHEAST OF THE TRIPLE POINT LOW.
