The low pressure system is forecast to move slowly northeastward
across the Ohio Valley on Sunday moving into the Lower Great Lakes
region by Monday. Plenty of tropical moisture streaming northward
and interacting with the system will continue to produce heavy
rain across parts of the Ohio Valley and much of the northern
Mid-Atlantic region on Sunday, spreading into the Lower Great
Lakes and Northeast by Sunday night and Monday. The heaviest
additional rainfall totals are forecast for portions of eastern
Ohio/western Pennsylvania and into the Central Appalachians, where
widespread totals of over 5 inches are possible, with locally
higher amounts. Significant flooding and flash flooding are
likely, and WPC has highlighted much of this region within a
moderate risk for excessive rainfall/flash flooding. Elsewhere
across the Mid-Atlantic and into the Northeast, rainfall totals of
1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts, are possible within a
region where WPC has a slight risk on the excessive rainfall
outlooks.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 500 PM EDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
