Northeast. The heaviest additional rainfall totals are forecast
for for the central and northern Appalachians, as well as portions
of the Northeast and northern Mid-Atlantic states, where
widespread totals of 1 to 2 inches are possible, with locally
higher amounts. Significant flooding is ongoing across northern
Maryland and parts of Pennsylvania. Farther east, WPC has
highlighted parts of the northern Mid-Atlantic states and
Northeast within a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall/flash
flooding.
