...Heavy rainfall continues in the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys...

Flash Flood Watches as well as scattered Flood Warnings and

At 900 AM CDT...Tropical moisture continued to stream northward
from the Gulf of Mexico into the Lower Mississippi, Tennessee, and
Ohio Valleys. At the surface, a weak low pressure system with a
central pressure of 1012 mb, or 29.88 inches of mercury, was
centered near Texarkana, Arkansas. From this low, a slow-moving
cold front stretched southward through western Louisiana. Another
front had started to lift north as a warm front, extending
northeastward through the Lower Mississippi Valley and eastward
through the Tennessee Valley, connecting with a slow-moving cold
front in the Southeast. National Weather Service radars and
surface observations indicated that moderate to heavy rain was
falling across parts of the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys. Generally
moderate rain was occurring across West Virginia, while scattered
showers continued farther west over parts of the Lower Mississippi
Valley.
