the Northeast today, and a stronger cold front will continue
pushing through the Upper and Middle Mississippi Valley through
tonight. Ahead of the warm front, heavy rainfall is expected
across the Northeast, while the advancing cold front will lead to
more heavy rainfall across the Tennessee and Ohio valleys through
Wednesday. Additional widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches
are forecast for the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, as well as the
Northeast, with locally higher amounts possible. There is a Slight
Risk for excessive rainfall/flash flooding in these areas.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1100 AM EDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
