Missouri into much of Lower Michigan.

At 200 AM CST...A low pressure system with an estimated central
pressure of 993 mb or 29.32 inches of mercury continued to move
east-northeast into northern Indiana. The low had become occluded
in the past few hours and began to weaken. National Weather
Service radars and surface observations indicated the heavy snow
and blizzard conditions over northern Illinois had diminished in
intensity during the past few hours. Light to moderate snow was
moving into Lower Michigan ahead of the low pressure center.
Farther east, rain was the primary precipitation type across the
lower Great Lakes and Ohio Valley while scattered showers were
moving across Kentucky and Tennessee ahead of a strong cold front.

The low pressure system is forecast to continue moving
east-northeast across the lower Great Lakes today while gradually
weakening. Snow is expected to gradually taper off from west to
east across northern Illinois and lower Michigan where 2 to
locally 4 inches of accumulation can be expected. By Monday
night, the main energy of the low pressure system will be shifted
to southern New England where a new low pressure center is
forecast to form. This will bring a good chance of snow across
northern New England on Tuesday with 6 to locally 10 inches
possible especially over the higher elevations.
The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
