The low pressure system is forecast to continue moving
east-northeast across the lower Great Lakes today while gradually
weakening and transferring toward a developing low in the
Mid-Atlantic and southern New England by early Tuesday. Snow is
expected to gradually taper off from west to east across northern
Illinois and lower Michigan where and additional 1 to 3 inches of
accumulation can be expected. As the new surface low develops
Monday night into Tuesday, it will bring a solid chance of snow
across northern New England on Tuesday with 6 to 12 inches
possible with locally 15 inches or higher in highest elevations of
Maine.
The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 300 PM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
