At 400 AM EDT...A low pressure system with an estimated central
pressure of 992 mb was moving northeastward across western
Michigan. National Weather Service radars and surface
observations indicated that light to locally moderate snow was
located in the cold air mass across Minnesota, northern Wisconsin,
and northern Michigan. Farther east and southeast, mainly rain,
mixing with wet snow, sleet and freezing rain was reported across
the Lower Great Lakes and Northeast.

The low pressure system over the Upper Great Lakes is expected to
race northeastward across northern Michigan and into southern
Ontario, Canada by Sunday afternoon. Snow will continue across
the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes today, before mostly coming to
an end this afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations across these
areas should range from 4 inches to locally a foot possible before
the low moves away into Canada. Some wintry precipitation can also
be expected across New England today, with snowfall accumulations
of 4 to 8 inches possible across northern Vermont and Maine.
