...Blizzard across the Central Rockies/Plains as surface low
crosses into Kansas...

Blizzard Warnings are in effect for parts of the North/Central
Plains and Upper Midwest.

High Wind Warnings are in effect from the Southern Rockies to the
Southern/Central Rockies.

Flood and Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for the Central
Plains and Middle Mississippi Valley.

At 300 PM CDT...A low pressure system with a central pressure of
968 mb was located near Manter, Kansas and was moving eastward. An
occluded front extended eastward across the Central Plains and
into a triple point over southeastern Missouri with a cold front
extending southward across Lower Mississippi Valley and
southeastern Texas. A warm front extended southward from the
triple point across the Lower Mississippi Valley and into the Gulf
of Mexico. National Weather Service radars and surface
observations indicated moderate to heavy snowfall with blizzard
conditions in some places across the Northern/Central Plains and
Central Rockies. Moderate to heavy rainfall spread into the
Mississippi Valley with some thunderstorm activity reported in the
Lower Mississippi Valley. High winds gusting near 100 mph were
observed near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The surface low will move northeastward across the Central Great
Plains and Middle Mississippi Valley before arriving in the Great
Lakes by Friday Morning. Snowfall totals between 6 and 10 inches
are expected across the Northern and Central Plains through
Friday. Wind gusts will be in the 30-40 mph range overnight
Wednesday.
