The low pressure system is expected to move northeast across the
upper Midwest toward the upper Great Lakes tonight and Friday
while gradually weakening. Areas of heavy wet snow and strong
winds should begin to become less intense tonight over much of the
northern Plains into the Upper Midwest. The heaviest snow is
expected to fall across northern Nebraska, South Dakota, and
central Minnesota where total snow accumulations of 15 to locally
30 inches is possible. Conditions remain hazardous for travel
across these areas through tonight.
The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 400 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
