The front will progress slowly across the Southeast, moving into
the Atlantic by Monday evening. Continued thunderstorm activity is
expected through Sunday night, with greatest rainfall amounts
across south/central Alabama. Expect 1-2 inches of additional
rainfall, with locally greater amounts, across the Southeast,
Tennessee Valley, and Mid-Atlantic states through Sunday. Flash
flooding is possible from southeast Louisiana to the Appalachians
and into southwestern Virginia. Increasingly saturated soils
across portions of the Gulf Coast states enhances the possibility
of flash flooding in these regions. River flooding remains a
concern through the foreseeable future along the lower Mississippi
River and its tributaries.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
