The cold front will pick up speed today and steadily move east
through tonight, reaching the East Coast by Monday morning.
Continued thunderstorm activity is expected ahead of the cold
front through tonight, with the greatest additional rainfall
totals expected across portions of the central Gulf Coast into
southern Alabama, Georgia and the western Florida Panhandle where
an additional 1-2 inches is expected. Localized flash flooding
will remain possible today from far eastern Louisiana into
southern Alabama and the western Florida Panhandle. Localized
flooding and flash flooding will also be possible farther north
into the Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic region through Monday
morning. Saturated soils across portions of the Gulf Coast states
will enhance the possibility of flash flooding in these regions.
River flooding remains a concern through the foreseeable future
along the lower Mississippi River and its tributaries as well.

This will be the last storm summary issued by the Weather
Prediction Center for this event. Please refer to your local
National Weather service office for additional information.
