The stationary front is expected to linger across the western Gulf
Coast and Lower Mississippi Valley through Saturday before moving
eastward on Sunday, with renewed thunderstorm activity expected
this evening and overnight. Expect 1-3 inches of additional
rainfall, with local amounts to 5 inches, from Southeast Texas
across the Gulf Coast states and South into the Tennessee Valley
by Saturday evening. Flash flooding is possible within this region
due to saturated soils across portions of Texas, Louisiana, and
Mississippi, and river flooding remains a concern through the
foreseeable future along the lower Mississippi river.

The next storm summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 PM CDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
